One-day Workshop on Macrame Work conducted at Govt. Polytechnic for Women Srinagar.
In order to support economic development and encourage sustainable livelihood of the women, Mission Youth, Government of J&K in collaboration with Taleem-O-Tarbiyat, organized one-day workshop on Macrame work at Government Polytechnic for women, Srinagar on 9th April, 2021.
While inaugurating this program, Mr. Zafar Sareshwala, Ex-Chancellor, Maulana Azad National Urdu University, Hyderabad said that our aim is to encourage different communities especially minorities and women to equip themselves with knowledge and skill through education.
Asiya Zafar Sareshwala, an expert in ceramic pottery designing and macramé work and currently engaged in various initiatives on holistic skill development of women was the resource person of the program.
Mr. Manzoor Ahmad Kumar, Principal, Government Polytechnic for Women, Srinagar Ms. Tawheeda Akhter, Principal, Women ITI, Bemina, Dr. Swati Singh, Assistant Professor, ITS Engineering College, Uttar Pradesh and senior staff of Government Polytechnic for Women and 55 students of Women ITI participated in the program.
